After two years as a teacher and coach in rural Iowa's secondary education system, I found I wanted a career that would be meaningful and allow me to make a greater impact on the community in which I lived.

I worked as a credit manager for a loan company for 1 year but was not satisfied that my career was taking the direction I wanted for myself and my family.

I have always been proud of the mutual decision made over 30 years ago to contract with Northwestern Mutual as a Financial Representative. The positive influence of the company's culture on my life and the lives of our clientele is without parallel.

Associations and Memberships

Doug Davis served as President of the Sioux City Suburban Rotary Club in 1999 and has been an active member since 1979.  He is a lifetime member of the University of Iowa Alumni Association and has been a member of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA) for over 20 years.  Doug lettered in wrestling under legendary Coach Dan Gable at the University of Iowa and is proud of his long association with the University of Iowa.
